Just one hour outside Melbourne, our purpose-built conference and events centre offers eight meeting spaces with state of the art technology, 60 modern accommodation rooms, a range of event venues, on site catering and a distraction free, tranquil environment.

Tucked away on Deakin University’s Waurn Ponds Campus, the Estate is approximately one hour from Melbourne and 20 minutes from Geelong.
Surrounded by tranquillity and nature, with modern amenities including a heated pool and spa, gym, tennis courts, scenic walking track and complimentary parking.
How to find us
From Pigdons Road, enter Alfred Deakin Drive (Entrance 1) and turn left at the first roundabout onto Nicol Drive South. Follow this road to the very end until you reach the entrance to Waurn Ponds Estate, which will be on your right-hand side.

What are the Estate’s opening hours?
Waurn Ponds Estate is open weekdays, from 7.30am on Monday until 5pm on Friday.
We are open for conferences, events, accommodation and our Express Dining Menu during this period.
The Estate opens on weekends for booked conferences, events and corporate accommodation only.
Does Waurn Ponds Estate have conference facilities?
Waurn Ponds Estate Geelong is a purpose built conference centre.
The Estate has eight technology rich conference spaces, which range in size to suit every need.
The smaller meeting rooms can accommodate up to 10 people, while our largest conference space can hold 154 delegates.
Each conference space is flooded with natural light, boasts gorgeous views and includes direct outdoor access.
Conference catering is also provided in house by our talented chefs.

Can I make a booking at Waurn Ponds Estate if I am not associated with Deakin?
Yes, of course. Waurn Ponds Estate offers conferences, events and corporate accommodation to everyone. You do not have to be associated with Deakin to make a booking with us.

Is there a restaurant and bar at Waurn Ponds Estate?
We don’t have a traditional restaurant or bar at the Estate.
Breakfast is an optional addition to accommodation bookings at Waurn Ponds Estate and is served in our Barrabool space from 7.30am – 9am. Breakfast is served to Estate accommodation guests only.
We serve an Express Bistro menu for lunch and dinner, Monday – Friday from 11am till 7pm. This is served in our Barrabool space, our Bistro or our Pool Terrace, depending on availability. Our friendly team will advise you where to go on arrival.
Our Express Bistro menu is available to anyone who would like to join us. Our Bistro’s bar is open on request for conference and event bookings only.
We also welcome you to our sister cafe and bar in Geelong, Waterfront Pantry.
Does Waurn Ponds Estate offer accommodation?
We welcome you to escape the hustle and bustle with our tranquil rooms at Waurn Ponds Estate.
Perfect for residential conferences or corporate accommodation, the Estate features 60 contemporary rooms that can host up to 120 guests when twinned or shared. These include two suites and three accessible rooms.
Each of our rooms feature king size beds, modern ensuites, plush bedding, tea and coffee making facilities, a desk TV, luxury products and gorgeous pool, garden or Estate views.

Does Waurn Ponds Estate offer catering and events?
We offer full day conference catering at Waurn Ponds Estate with a range of packages available, plus options for dinner. All conference packages include all-day espresso coffee and tea.
We also provide catering for events such as cocktail parties, sit down banquets, lunch, morning or afternoon teas, and more.
Waurn Ponds Estate has a stunning selection of indoor and outdoor venues. We can host a maximum of 100 guests seated in our Barrabool event space, or up to 300 guests for a cocktail event in the Lounge or Lawn.

How do I get to Waurn Ponds Estate?
From Melbourne CBD:
Travel time to Waurn Ponds Estate is approximately one hour. Cross the West Gate Bridge and follow the Princess Highway (M1) towards Geelong. Take the Waurn Ponds exit.
From Tullamarine Airport:
Gull Airport Service provides up to 170 scheduled shuttle services between Geelong and Melbourne Airport weekly. Also offering VIP Services and Coach Charters. From Avalon Airport:
Transfers are available between Avalon and the Estate via MyBus. Visit their site for more information (Geelong Private Bus Avalon Airport Transfers – MyBus Geelong).
From Geelong:
The Estate is located 20 minutes from Geelong’s CBD.
